Although I understand the reason by choosing the PS3 its a catch 22 for the Wii U (Not getting more sales because lack of 3rd party support, but not getting 3rd party support because lack of sales). I was a bit sad that the HD release of symphonia chronicles is only for the PS3, and not on the wii u. (I had a PS3 but traded it for the oculus rift when it came out, however I regret the decision now :/ ever since all the HD re-releases have popped up all over the place on the PS3). I have finally gotten around to understanding the combat mechanics with this title and am really enjoying the game for the experience the Tales games are most recognized for.Īfter this whole experience picked up I have been looking for more Tales games to own. I didn't want the difficulty to deter me from a solid franchise though, and when I saw tales of the abyss on the 3ds I purchased it without hesitation. (I would get really motivated to play it then lose steam and stop playing for awhile, rinse and repeat) I really enjoyed the game for its depth of story and character development, but thought it was a bit to tough grasp the mechanics well enough to survive strongly without heavy reliance on potentially expensive healing gels. After three years of owning since it was released I had managed to beat it. The first Tales game that I bought was Tales of Symphonia on the gamecube. I have always been fascinated with the namco Tales series but never really delved too deeply into them because the games kept popping up on different platforms and only until recently did I find the battle mechanics a bit difficult (Not the case anymore, to some extent). Recently I have been playing Tales of the Abyss on my 3DS.
